This is the Musashi Folded Steel Bamboo Katana with kobuse lamination and bamboo themed fittings and bamboo themed saya with buffalo horn kojiri. This is a fully functional katana with a midare hamon, and is made of folded 1060 and 1045 steel.
Blade: The blade has been constructed from differentially hardened forge folded 1060 and 1045 steel in kobuse lamination. The hamon of the sword is authentic with a midare pattern. The blade comes full tang and sharp.
Saya: The saya is wooden with a bamboo painted design and has a black chemical fiber sageo. The kojiri is made of yellow buffalo horn, the kurikata is wooden, and the koiguchi is hardened.
Tsuka: The habaki is brass. The tsuba is blackened iron with a bamboo theme. The fuchigashira match the tsuba and are blackened alloy with bamboo theme. The menuki are long bamboo themed antiqued alloy. The ito is black cotton with alternating cross overs over real ray skin samegawa. The tang is double pinned with bamboo mekugi.
